Pondering Phoenix
About

I’m Glen Vanderpost

A web designer in Gravenhurst. I build websites for Muskoka’s owner-run businesses, and I work with clients across Ontario too.

I started Pondering Phoenix so small businesses could deal with one person instead of an agency. I reply personally and give straight advice. You get a fixed quote in writing first, and a site built around what your customers need to find.

I’ve worked in web and digital for six years, and I launched Pondering Phoenix in 2026. I handle every project myself, from the first conversation through design, writing, testing and launch.

How I work

One person, start to finish

You work with me, directly

The person who answers your email is the person who plans, designs and builds your site.

Good tools, my own judgement

I use up-to-date tools so the build goes quickly. The plan, design, writing and testing are mine, every time.

Rooted in Muskoka

I live in Gravenhurst. That’s Moose and me at the lake up top. I build for businesses that serve locals, cottagers and summer visitors.

Beyond client work

I also build my own apps and a game

Proof Panda, Ember Tiles and a drawing game called Buddha Boredom are mine, from the idea to the website. Your site gets the same testing I give my own products.
